Class Descriptions

Please review below of each class description to see which may be most suitable for you or your child.

  • Keiki Intro * Keiki Class * Tamari'i Tamahine * Tamari'i Tamaroa

    Introduction class ages 3-5 years old  is for children who are new to hula, the class is structured to teach the basic hula steps to simple hulas. Learn simple hawaiian words, and greetings.                                                     

    Class ages 6 and up Class is combined with Beginner and Intermediate keikis. This class learns basic hula moves with meles, learn basic hawaiian words, numbers and phrases.  

    Tamari'i ages 6-12 years old
     Tahitian Dancing : Introduces drum beats into oteas and aparimas.      
    For Tamahine Tamaroa Class ( BOYS ) is divided with drumming and dancing . learn basic tahitian words, numbers and greetings.  
                

  • Wahine ages 12 and up * Makuahine moms * Gracious Ladies


    Beginners
    This class learns basic hula moves with meles, learn basic hawaiian words, numbers and phrases. Leanring simple aparimas.

    Intermediate
     Learning intermediate hula and aparima dance moves and routines . Expected to be a part of our "PERFROMANCE TEAM"                            

    Aravihi Vahines (advanced class ) -obligated to perform, run performaces. Trains and conditions intensely. Audtion required. Must be in halau for at least 2 year.  

    Makuahine Class Class is combined with Beginner and Intermediate hula moms. This class learns basic hula moves with meles, learn basic hawaiian words. More intermediate dancers are expected to be a part of our "PERFORMANCE TEAM" .

    Gracious Ladies For "moms and grandmothers" that will learn basic moves and routines that teach them to be graceful "like birds in motion" .

  • Ori * Kane/Tane * Drumming

     


     Ori Tahiti -Class is combined with Beginner and Intermediate and advanced levels. This class learns basic, interemediate tahitian moves with live drum beats , learn basic tahitian words and pharses. More intermediate dancers are expected to be a part of our "PERFORMANCE TEAM" .

    Kane & Tane  : Male Dancers that will learn basic and itermediate hula and tahitian dance moves and routines. More intermediate dancers will be expected to drum and be a part of our "PERFORMANCE TEAM"   

    Drumming No specific level. Male or Female drummers welcome Introduces and Conditions Various Tahitian Drums and Beats . All drummers are expected to be a part of our "PERFORMANCE TEAM"

  • Polynesian Cardio

    This is a non committed class, you will not need to register as a lokahi dance
